Hi, I’m Becca! (Also known by my family as the Cat Whisperer)

I’ve always felt a deep connection to cats. I grew up surrounded by dog lovers, but insisted that our home wasn’t complete without a kitty companion. My parents used to laugh at me when I’d refer to cleaning out the litter box as, “digging for buried treasure” (now I can understand why 😹) but I’ve loved everything about cats and caring for them for as long as I can remember. In college, I spent time working at both a veterinary clinic and pet boarding facility, where I gained so much knowledge and experience about the wellbeing and medical side of caring for dogs and cats (and the occasional snake, turtle, bird, or rodent). Although not the right career path for me, this experience opened the door for me to start pet sitting, which has been so fun and fulfilling. Over the last 10+ years I’ve cared for the pets of many friends and family members, becoming the go-to sitter for other cat owners in my life, and I’ve been pet-sitting professionally since 2019.

I currently have a 6-year-old black cat named Mr. Bumbles, who I adopted through a cat cafe in Denver, CO at only 2 months old. If I’m being honest, he adopted me when he cuddled on my shoulder for 2+ hours until I finally took the hint and filled out the paperwork. We’ve been bonded ever since! We stretch together in the morning, paint canvases (he mostly steals the paint brushes) and make art (as a previous freelance model, we’ve even done a couple photoshoots together), have long conversations back and forth, eat meals and snacks together, and cuddle together every night. I’ve been called a crazy cat lady, but I know we just have a beautiful, one-of-a-kind, soulmate bond. I know firsthand how important it is to find someone calm, compassionate, and trustworthy to love and care for your feline when you’re away and aren’t able to, and I’m beyond happy to be that person for you!
